Maariv Newspaper announces Israel will be first to implement mandatory RFID chips in hands of it's citizens

Before we get into this latest late breaking news, I would like to share this quote:

"On October 3, 1940, the Vichy government of France passed the first Statut des Juifs (Jewish Statute).

The law was modeled on the German Nuremberg Laws.

Jews living in Vichy France were required to have their identification cards stamped with the word Juif (Jew).

Moreover, they were not permitted to change residences, and they had to inform the police about any changes in marital status.

Here is the scenario:

I am standing in the living room of a Jewish friend's home in Israel this evening.

He is sitting down reading Maariv newspaper's "Sof Shavua (End of The Week).

He starts to translate some Hebrew to me about how an article from the 11.14.08 newspaper is stating how the Israeli government is passing (or has passed) a law where all citizens will be required to have RFID chips implanted into their hand.

Keep in mind this lengthy article is "six" pages long (666 get a hint).

I started to explain to him about how the Bible prophesies about this.

He also mentions that in the article it states that Israel will be the first country to implement the RFID chip as mandatory for all citizens.

I was not shocked when I received this news since the Bible prophesies this happening, as mentioned in the Brit Chadasha (New Testament) in the book of Revelation.

I just did not think that it would happen this fast and first out of all places, in Israel?.

Keeping "tabs on Jews" is a red flag of something bad that is coming up ahead.

For Israel to claim that they will be the first to establish the mark of the beast (mark on the hand) is a shock.

How would Holocaust victims with tattoos on their arms from concentration camps react to the RFID chip implant?

This is disgusting and even more disgusting is how many Jews will blindly/ignorantly take it in the name of "countering terrorism."

Who are the real terrorists?

That remains to be the "big brother" question.

I think the only ones who need to have tabs kept on them are the psychos who are coming up with "chipping people."

They are the real terrorists.

For most Israeli citizens hearing this news does not make that much sense since they do not read the Brit Chadasha and do not understand that what is going on today has been prophesied about in the Bible, but to a Yehudi Meshichi (Messianic Jew) like me, it makes total sense since I am

"Scripturally Informed."

Will I take this "mark" on my forehead or hand?

No.

Might it be that not conforming to this strange mandatory forceful request by the Israeli government will cost me my life?

Possibly.

How will the Orthodox Jews, secular or Messianic Jews in Israel respond to such a strange request which forcibly violates their privacy to the extreme level?

Will they take it?

Will even the Messianic Jews in Israel take it?

As I get more of this article somehow translated, I will do my best to make it available to the public online.

And picked the man their television sets told them had to win.

We certainly understand that anyone could be so sick of Bush and his War Of Terror that they would automatically vote to throw the current batch of killers and thugs out of the White House.

It's mindboggling the number of people who seemed almost hypnotized by Barrack Obama and his promise of virtually unspecified change.

Obama gave some terrific speeches, but a speech written by some other person tells you absolutely nothing about the man who is delivering it.

Yet millions of Obama voters are carrying around their own image of who this man is.

Not since Papa Bush ran for the White House on a totally fictitious biography have we had such an enigma.

His campaign slogan about change, as far as I could tell, allowed each person to invent on his own what the actual changes might be.

(And believed it completely)

I feel great sympathy for those who view Obama as a savior.

The next few years will be bad enough on all of us without having to feel like a fool at the same time.

As in all previous changeovers that I can personally recall, nothing of real importance will change simply because there is a new man in the White House.

Yes, you will see some moves to convince the peasant's that things are different, but they will be strictly cosmetic; i.e., issues with emotional appeal that in practical terms make no difference to their actual plans for America.

(Or THE WORLD)

Obama will take the reins of an Imperial Presidency created for him by his predecessor.

He will be unfettered by any constitutional restraints and endowed with virtually unlimited power.

For one thing, I'm not sure this guy is entirely sane.

(Are any of them).

The goal and the rhetoric are most likely from early childhood.

Yet Obama is too old to be driven by childhood conditioning and still be considered mentally balanced and stable.

One would expect him to be able to look at his own success and realize that most of those old grievances (from his early Islamic schooling?) are pure hogwash.

Apparently not.

I'm also concerned about his thought that Bush caused the economic crisis.

Bush is only a puppet, and Obama is in the same boat.

It is easy to see from the policies he's already announced that it is Wall Street and the great Money and Banking Cartel that is pulling Obama's strings.

Yet the hint that Obama doesn't understand what's going on is disturbing.

If we end up with too much conflict between Obama and his Masters then we could easily see a replay of the 1963 coup that replaced Kennedy with Johnson.

As I said above, it's a bit too early to get a true measure of what's going on with this man.

But it already feels like the shark has been let loose in the swimming pool.

At a recent Reuters Global Finance Summit former Goldman Sachs chairman John Whitehead was interviewed.

He was also Ronald Reagan's Deputy Secretary of State and a former chairman of the N.Y. Fed.

He says America's problems will take years and will burn trillions.

He sees "nothing but large increases in the deficit ... I think it would be worse than the depression. ... Before I go to sleep at night, I wonder if tomorrow is the day Moody's and S&P will announce a downgrade of U.S. government bonds."

It'll get worse because "the public is not prepared to increase taxes.

Both parties were for reducing taxes, reducing income to government, and both parties favored a number of new programs, all very costly and all done by the government."

Reuters concludes:

"Whitehead said he is speaking out on this topic because he is concerned no lawmakers are against these new spending programs and none will stand up and call for higher taxes.

'I just want to get people thinking about this, and to realize this is a road to disaster,' said Whitehead.

'I've always been a positive person and optimistic, but I don't see a solution here.'"

We see the Great Depression 2.

Factors of Exceptional Old Age

A study reported in the “Journals of Gerontology: Medical Sciences” find there are six factors that make it likely elderly people will thrive.

A positive outlook, low stress, moderate consumption of alcohol, avoiding tobacco, an income of over $30,000, and a lack of chronic health conditions are the keys to a healthy old age.

“Many of these factors can be modified when you are young or middle-aged,” said David Feeny, Ph.D., study co-author.

“While these findings may seem like common sense, now we have evidence about which factors contribute to exceptional health during retirement years.”

In a first study of its kind, researchers from Portland State University, the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research, Oregon Health & Science University and Statistics Canada, studied 2,432 Canadians about the quality of their life.

They filled out questionnaires every two years for ten years, a total of six surveys.

They were asked to rate themselves in eight categories:

Speech, hearing, vision, emotion, cognition, ambulation, dexterity and pain.

“Thrivers” rated themselves as having little or no disability in all eight categories on at least five of the six surveys.

If they rated themselves as having moderate or severe disability on any of thesurveys, they were classified as not having excellent health or a high quality of life.

At the beginning of the surveys, over half of the participants were rated as “thrivers,” but only eight percent were considered thrivers at the end of ten years.

At that time, 47 percent were classified as not having excellent health or a high quality of life, 36 percent had died, and nine percent were institutionalized.

Cancer Risk Aside, Cell Phones are Dangerous

There has been much speculation over the last few years about whether cell phones increase the risk of developing a brain tumor.

Research has not conclusively answered this question, which has left consumers confused.

The majority of studies that have been published in scientific journals do not have sufficient evidence to show that cell phones increase the risk of brain tumors.

(Unless you read my Blog's on this Subject?)

The problem is that cell phone technology is in its infancy, so none of these studies could analyze long-term risks.

This unknown is a particular issue for children, who will face a lifetime of cell phone usage.

While the cell phone/brain tumor connection remains inconclusive, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) cautions that cell phones present plenty of other risks to people’s neurological health, as illustrated by these few real-life scenarios:

~A 29-year-old male was talking on his cell phone while on an escalator, fell backwards, and lacerated his head.

~A 25-year-old male was talking on his cell phone and walked into a street sign, lacerating his head.

~A 43-year-old female fell down 13-14 steps while talking on her cell phone, after drinking alcohol. She suffered a neck sprain and contusions to her head, back, shoulder, and leg.

~A 50-year-old female suffered nerve damage which was related to extensive cell phone usage. She felt pain in her fingers and the length of her arm while holding her cell phone, and was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy.

~A 39-year-old man suffered a head injury after crashing into a tree on his bicycle while texting

~A 16-year-old boy suffered a concussion because he was texting and walked into a telephone pole.

Several studies show cell phones are a leading cause of automobile crashes.

It is estimated that drivers distracted by cell phones are four times more likely to be in a motor vehicle accident.

The following are some sobering statistics:

~According to a Harvard University study, an estimated 2,600 people die and 12,000 suffer serious to moderate injuries each year in cell phone-related accidents.

~A Canadian study analysis of 26,798 cell phone calls made during the 14-month study period showed that the risk of an automobile accident was four times higher when using a cell phone.

~National statistics indicate that an estimated 50,000 traumatic brain injury-related deaths occur annually in the United States, 25,000-35,000 of which are attributed to motor vehicle accidents.

Cell Phone Injury Prevention Tips:

~Talk hands free by using an earpiece or on speaker mode whenever possible.

~Follow all cell phone laws applicable to your city and state – these vary greatly.

~Use your cell phone only when safely parked, or have a passenger use it.

~Do not dial the phone or take notes while driving, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, etc.

~Never text message while driving, walking, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, etc.

~Never text message or use a cell phone while performing any physical activities that require attention.

~If your phone rings while driving, let the call go into voice mail and respond later when you are safely parked.

Low Vitamin D Linked With HBP

Lower blood levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D, a protein that provides an acquire measure of vitamin D in the blood, are independently associated with an increased risk of developing high blood pressure, according to findings published in Hypertension.

Studies have shown 25(OH)D levels and skin exposure to UVB radiation...are associated with lower blood pressure, but definitive studies are limited, Dr. John P. Forman and colleagues from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston wrote.

The researchers conducted a study with1484 healthy women from the second Nurses' Health Study.

Cases were compared with a placebo group with a similar age, race and other features.

The subjects' average age was 43 years.

The case patients had a significantly lower average blood level of 25(OH)D than controls (25.6 ng/mL vs 27.3).

Compared to women with the highest 25(OH)D levels, those with the lowest levels had a 66 percent increased risk of high blood pressure.

Overall, 65.7 percent of the women had vitamin D deficiency.

In subjects who were vitamin D-deficient, the odds of developing high blood pressure were increased by 47 percent compared to those with adequate levels.

"Given that 65.7 percent of women were vitamin D deficient, the population risk attributable to vitamin D deficiency is 4.53 new cases of high blood pressure per 1000 young women annually,"

They note.

"If this association is causal, then vitamin D deficiency may account for 23.7 percent of all new cases of high blood pressure developing among young women every year."

The authors call for randomized trials to determine whether vitamin D supplementation could reduce blood pressure.

Eating Red Meat Spurs Cancer

Researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, led by Ajit Varki, M.D., have shown a new mechanism for how human consumption of red meat and milk products could contribute to the increased risk of cancerous tumors.

Their findings, which suggest that inflammation resulting from a molecule introduced through consumption of these foods could promote tumor growth, are published online this week in advance of print publication in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

Varki, UC San Diego School of Medicine distinguished professor of medicine and cellular and molecular medicine, and co-director of the UCSD Glycobiology Research and Training Center, and colleagues studied a non-human cellular molecule called N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc).

Neu5Gc is a type of glycan, or sugar molecule, that humans don’t naturally produce, but that can be incorporated into human tissues as a result of eating red meat.

The body then develops anti-Neu5Gc antibodies – an immune response that could potentially lead to chronic inflammation, as first suggested in a 2003 PNAS paper by Varki.

“We’ve shown that tumor tissues contain much more Neu5Gc than is usually found in normal human tissues,”

Said Varki.

“We therefore surmised that Neu5Gc must somehow benefit tumors.”

It has been recognized by scientists for some time that chronic inflammation can actually stimulate cancer, Varki explained.

So the researchers wondered if this was why tumors containing the non-human molecule grew even in the presence of Neu5Gc antibodies.

“The paradox of Neu5Gc accumulating in human tumors in the face of circulating antibodies suggested that a low-grade, chronic inflammation actually facilitated the tumor growth, so we set out to study that hypothesis,” said co-author Nissi M.Varki, M.D., UCSD professor of pathology.

Using specially bred mouse models that lacked the Neu5Gc molecule – mimicking humans before the molecule is absorbed into the body through ingesting red meat – the researchers induced tumors containing Neu5Gc, and then administered anti-Neu5Gc antibodies to half of the mice.

In mice that were given antibodies inflammation was induced, and the tumors grew faster.

In the control mice that were not treated with antibodies, the tumors were less aggressive

Others have previously shown that humans who take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (commonly known as NSAIDs) have a reduced risk of cancer.

Therefore, the mice with cancerous tumors facilitated by anti-Neu5Gc antibodies were treated with an NSAID.

In these animals, the anti-inflammatory treatment blocked the effect of the Neu5Gc antibodies and the tumors were reduced in size.

“Taken together, our data indicate that chronic inflammation results from interaction of Neu5Gc accumulated in our bodies from eating red meat with the antibodies that circulate as an immune response to this non-human molecule – and this may contribute to cancer risk,” said Varki.

Secret “Geo-Engineering” Projects Threaten Unknown Environmental Dangers

U.S. government scientists are bombarding the skies with the acid-rain causing pollutant sulphur dioxide in an attempt to fight global warming by “geo-engineering” the planet, despite the fact that injecting aerosols into the upper atmosphere carries with it a host of both known and unknown dangers.

The proposal to disperse sulphur dioxide in an attempt to reflect sunlight was again raised in a London Guardian article this week entitled, Geoengineering: The radical ideas to combat global warming in which Ken Caldeira, a leading climate scientist based at the Carnegie Institution in Stanford, California, promotes the idea of injecting the atmosphere with aerosols.

“One approach is to insert “scatterers” into the stratosphere,” states the article.

“Caldeira cites an idea to deploy jumbo jets into the upper atmosphere and deposit clouds of tiny particles there, such as sulphur dioxide.

Dispersing around 1m tonnes of sulphur dioxide per year across 10m square kilometres of the atmosphere would be enough to reflect away sufficient amounts of sunlight.”

Experiments similar to Caldeira’s proposal are already being carried out by U.S. government -backed scientists, such as those at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Savannah River National Laboratory in Aiken, S.C,who this year conducted studies which involved shooting huge amounts of particulate matter, in this case “porous-walled glass microspheres,” into the stratosphere.

The project, which reached its conclusion this past April, is closely tied to an idea by Nobel Prize winner Paul Crutzen, who “proposed sending aircraft 747s to dump huge quantities of sulfur particles into the far-reaches of the stratosphere to cool down the atmosphere.”

Such programs merely scratch the surface of what is likely to be a gargantuan and overarching black-budget funded project to geo-engineer the planet, with little or no care for the unknown environmental consequences this could engender.

What is known about what happens when the environment is loaded with sulphur dioxide is bad enough, since the compound is the main component of acid rain, which according to the EPA “Causes acidification of lakes and streams and contributes to the damage of trees at high elevations (for example, red spruce trees above 2,000 feet) and many sensitive forest soils.

In addition, acid rain accelerates the decay of building materials and paints, including irreplaceable buildings, statues, and sculptures that are part of our nation’s cultural heritage.”

The health effects of bombarding the skies with sulphur dioxide alone are enough to raise serious questions about whether such programs should even be allowed to proceed.

The following health effects are linked with exposure to sulphur.

- Neurological effects and behavioural changes

- Disturbance of blood circulation

- Heart damage

- Effects on eyes and eyesight

- Reproductive failure

- Damage to immune systems

- Stomach and gastrointestinal disorder

- Damage to liver and kidney functions

- Hearing defects

- Disturbance of the hormonal metabolism

- Dermatological effects

- Suffocation and lung embolism

According to theLennTech website, “Laboratory tests with test animals have indicated that sulfur can cause serious vascular damage in veins of the brains, the heart and the kidneys.

These tests have also indicated that certain forms of sulfur can cause foetal damage and congenital effects.

Mothers can even carry sulfur poisoning over to their children through mother milk.

Finally, sulfur can damage the internal enzyme systems of animals.”

Fred Singer, president of the Science Environmental Policy Project and a skeptic of man-made global warming theories, warns that the consequences of tinkering with the planet’s delicate eco-system could have far-reaching dangers.

“If you do this on a continuous basis, you would depress the ozone layer and cause all kinds of other problems that people would rather avoid,” said Singer

Santa knows everything.

Children are taught, religiously, that Santa knows everything.

He knows when they’re awake.

He knows when they’re sleeping.

He knows what they want for Christmas.

Remember that child-like faith?

That faith that belongs to God.

Satan is robbing that precious faith with the false god of Santa!

Santa has all the attributes of God.

Santa has replaced God in the lives of Santa-worshipping children.

Just mention the name of Santa to the average child – and watch their little face light up.

They love Santa with "all their heart, and with all their soul, and with all their strength, and with all their mind."

They stand in line to sit in his loving lap.

They leave him milk and cookies.

It may be a fable to the grown-ups, but those little kids – they believe and love Santa with all their little heart's!

And why not?

Why shouldn’t they believe in Santa?

They are taught, heartily, by the people they love and trust more than anyone on earth that Santa is a god.

Santa knows things that are known only by an Omniscient God.

Who else has such power?

And why wouldn’t they believe it?

Would "Mummy and Daddy" lie?

Of course not. . . would they?

The following verses would well fit the average child’s gospel of Santa:

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for Santa knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Matthew 6:8

Santa knoweth the days of the upright. . .

Santa knoweth the thoughts of the wise, . . .

Santa is Everywhere – He is Omnipresent

He’s at the mall.

He’s at the parade.

He’s on the TV.

He’s at the Match.

He is EVERYWHERE.

David’s testimony to the Omnipresence of God Almighty sounds much like the average child’s omnipresence faith in Santa.

Santa miraculously visits millions of children, all across the world, in one "quick as a wink" night.

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. . ." (1 Cor. 15:52) – Santa appears – all over the world!

The poem The Night Before Christmas says of Old St. Nick: ". . . And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof. . ." Where did that come from? – "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. . ." (1 Cor. 15:52)

He sees you when you're sleeping, He knows when you're awake.

Sound familiar. . .?

Santa is All-Powerful – He is Omnipotent

To the average child - Santa can do anything.

The following are actual letters to Santa from children, taken from a local newspaper.

Read these letters and look at the faith these children have in their god:

"Dear Santa. . . If I could have one Christmas wish, it would be for my mum to get better.

She has bad arthritis.

Would you please heal her?"

"Dear Santa. . . For Christmas would you please give humanity a cure for cancer and a cure for AIDS, and would you please give us a new solar system where people live right?"

"Dear Santa. . . My mum and I both have disabilities.

Would you please give both of us new bodies?"

"Dear Santa. . . Please bring peace on earth."

Is anything too hard for Santa?

Come rain, sleet, snow, storm, hurricane, the darkest and dreariest of nights – Santa comes.

Their Santa NEVER fails!

In one night, the all-powerful, Santa delivers millions and millions of gifts to children all around the world.

Who could do that?

Now, who REALLY believes that?

That little child who has been preached to about Santa.

That is who.

They believe it.

Just ask one.

Nothing is too hard for their Santa.

If the Christian world had, even a small drop of the faith the average child has in Santa – we’d have revival overnight!

Isn’t it amazing what these little children actually believe

About their great god and saviour Santa?

These little kids believe and have more faith in their Santa than all the Christians of the world.

If the Christians of the world could just catch a spark of that faith these kids have in Santa – we would have a world-wide revival.

Have you ever considered how unbelievable and powerful Santa is?

The scientific journal SPY magazine (January 1990) constructed a scientific analysis of Santa.

Here’s some of there conclusions:

Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical).

This works out to 822.6 visits per second.

This is to say that for each house, Santa has 1/1000th of a second to park, hop out of the sleigh, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left, get back up the chimney, get back into the sleigh and move on to the next house.

A total trip of 75-1/2 million miles, not counting stops to do what most of us must do at least once every 31 hours, plus feeding etc.

This means that Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second, 3,000 times the speed of sound.

The payload on the sleigh adds another interesting element.

Assuming that each child gets nothing more than a medium-sized lego set (2 pounds), the sleigh is carrying 321,300 tons.

This increases the payload - not even counting the weight of the sleigh - to 353,430 tons.

353,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second creates enormous air resistance - The lead pair of reindeer will absorb 14.3 QUINTILLION joules [jewels-measurement of energy] of energy.

Per second.

In short, they will burst into flame almost instantaneously and create deafening sonic booms in their wake.

The entire reindeer team will be vaporized within 4.26 thousandths of a second.

Santa, meanwhile, will be subjected to centrifugal forces 17,500.06 times greater than gravity.

A 250-pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim) would be pinned to the back of his sleigh by 4,315,015 pounds of force.

He just quietly "tip-toes" in – and "tip-toes" out.

You hear nothing.

You see nothing.

He appears like a "thief in the night". (1 Thess. 5:2).

And we expect our children to believe in a supernatural being that can do all that

And you know what.

THEY DO!

And they believe it with all their little heart's, soul and mind's!

The federal government did not crack down on the Bush-Harriman/Nazi operation until 1942.

After the war, Congressional investigation revealed that Fritz Thyssen's German Steel Trust, Germany's largest industrial corporation, which interlocked with Union Banking Corporation, produced a high percentage of Germany's national output of metal products and explosives.

Vesting Orders signed by the Office of Alien Property Custodian, Leo T. Crowley, which were "published in obscure government record books and kept out of the news, explained nothing about the Nazis involved.

Only that the Union Banking Corporation was run for the 'Thyssen family' of 'Germany and/or Hungary'-- 'nationals...of a designated enemy country.'"

In October 1942, ten months after entering World War II, America was preparing its first assault against Nazi military forces.

Prescott Bush was managing partner of Brown Brothers Harriman.

His 18-year-old son George, the future U.S. President, had just begun training to become a naval pilot.

On Oct. 20, 1942, the U.S. government ordered the seizure of Nazi German banking operations in New York City which were being conducted by Prescott Bush.

Under the Trading with the Enemy Act, the government took over the Union Banking Corporation, in which Bush was a director.

The U.S. Alien Property Custodian seized Union Banking Corp.'s stock shares, all of which were owned by Prescott Bush, E. Roland 'Bunny' Harriman, three Nazi executives, and two other associates of Bush.

'E. Roland Harriman--3991 shares' [chairman and director of Union Banking Corp. (UBC); this is 'Bunny' Harriman, described by Prescott Bush as a place holder who didn't get much into banking affairs; Prescott managed his personal investments]

'Cornelis Lievense--4 shares' [president and director of UBC; New York resident banking functionary for the Nazis]

'Harold D. Pennington--1 share' [treasurer and director of UBC; an office manager employed by Bush at Brown Brothers Harriman]

'Ray Morris--1 share' [director of UBC; partner of Bush and the Harrimans]

'Prescott S. Bush--1 share' [director of UBC, which was co-founded and sponsored by his father-in-law George Walker; senior managing partner for E. Roland Harriman and Averell Harriman]

'H.J. Kouwenhoven--1 share' [director of UBC; organized UBC as the emissary of Fritz Thyssen in negotiations with George Walker and Averell Harriman.
Managing director of UBC's Netherlands affiliate under Nazi occupation; industrial executive in Nazi Germany; director and chief foreign financial executive of the German Steel Trust]

"All of which shares are held for the benefit of ... members of the Thyssen family, [and] is property of nationals ... of a designated enemy country...."

By Oct. 26, 1942, U.S. troops were under way for North Africa.

On Oct. 28, the government issued orders seizing two Nazi front organizations run by the Bush-Harriman bank.

The Holland-American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation.

U.S. forces landed under fire near Algiers on Nov. 8, 1942; heavy combat raged throughout November.

Nazi interests in the Silesian-American Corporation, long managed by Prescott Bush and his father-in-law George Herbert Walker, were seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act on Nov. 17, 1942.

In this action, the government announced that it was seizing only the Nazi interests, leaving the Nazis' U.S. partners to.

Carry on the business.?

These and other actions taken by the U.S. government in wartime were, tragically, too little and too late.

President Bush's family had already played a central role in financing and arming Adolf Hitler for his takeover of Germany.

In financing and managing the buildup of Nazi war industries for the conquest of Europe and war against the U.S.A.

And in the development of Nazi genocide theories and racial propaganda, with their well-known results.

The facts presented here must be known, and their implications reflected upon, for a proper understanding of President George Herbert Walker Bush and of the danger to mankind that he represents.

The President's family fortune was largely a result of the Hitler project.

The powerful Anglo-American family associations, which later boosted him into the Central Intelligence Agency and up to the White House, were his father's partners in the Hitler project.

A Question of Ethics

Is it ethical to impose a regime on people in the hope that heart disease will be reduced?

Surely prevention is better than cure, you may say.

But is it?

Such an attitude ignores the real possibility that such intervention may do more harm than good.

'Preventative' medicine as practised in the case of heart disease, takes two forms.

Firstly we are to change our lifestyles, and secondly we are screened by our doctors on an opportunity basis.

But this screening is not prevention of the disease, it is merely the early detection of it.

For such procedures to be of use a number of criteria are well established.

One important one is that the disease should be both common and serious, as screening for an uncommon disease will throw up many false results.

These will inevitably incur the cost of further testing, and cause unnecessary anxiety which itself is harmful.

The first problem with screening in CHD, is deciding what to test for.

As a predictor of coronary risk, total blood cholesterol turns out to be irrelevant, and merely testing for that is regarded by many experts as misguided.

Far more reliable, they claim, is measurement of HDL (the 'good' cholesterol).

However, in a test of the accuracy of checking for HDL at various laboratories, values differed by as much as 40% in 95% of the samples tested.

In another study, 16 instruments manufactured by nine companies were tested in 44 laboratories.

In this test, although the inaccuracies of the machines were lower at 3.6-4.4%, biases attributed to the methods used ranged from -6.8% to +25%.

The accuracy of desktop machines is even more suspect.

A third study to evaluate the ability of cholesterol screening to detect individuals with blood cholesterol abnormalities concluded that 41% of those with abnormal levels would not be detected using present guidelines.

Another criterion is that an effective treatment for the disease is available, as there is little point in early diagnosis or detection of a disease for which there is no effective remedy.

Some will say that we do know the cause of coronary heart disease; it is high cholesterol, or too much fat in our diets, or not enough exercise.

Or it could be something else.

In 1981, two hundred and forty six 'risk factors' for heart disease were listed.

That number is now well over three hundred.

These so called risk factors include having English as a mother tongue, having a diagonal crease in the left earlobe, not taking siestas, not eating mackerel, snoring and wearing tight underpants.

What a list of this size really tells us is that we have little idea what causes coronary heart disease.

And it is certain that if all the 300 plus do play a part, we have no chance of defeating the disease.

A director of the Health Education Programme of the American Medical Association denounced the lifestyle changes with their false promise of benefit as a quasi- religious crusade when in 1984 he wrote:

" Constant lifestyle self-scrutiny in search of risk factors, denial of pleasure, rejection of the old evil lifestyle and embracing a rigorous new one are followed by periodical affirmations of faith at revival meetings. . . the self-righteous intolerance of some wellness zealots borders on health fascism".

"Historically, humans have been at greatest risk while being improved in the best image of their possibilities as seen by somebody else."

Telling people who feel fit and well that they are not and, that if they do not make major changes to their lives, they could drop dead at any moment, not only worries them unnecessarily, it can have a profound effect on their attitudes to life.

The benefits of mass screening are doubtful and the risk of harm is high.

Such intervention, therefore, can only be justified ethically when either the patient has requested it or symptoms are such as to make it desirable.

If we go to our doctor with a complaint and he treats us with the best medical knowledge, he should not be held responsible for defects in that knowledge.

If, however, the doctor initiates treatment without being consulted by the patient, then he is in a very different situation.

Cochrane and Holland write that before advocating a course of action in such circumstances.

" He should, in our view, have conclusive evidence that screening can alter the natural history of disease in a significant proportion of those screened."

If he does not, he may be held responsible for any harm done.

But in the case of heart disease, recognised medical standard tests and ethics have been thrown out the window.

The recommendations were forced on the public even before they had been tested, and now the perpetrators are afraid to admit that they could have been wrong.

But until they do, whole populations are suffering unnecessarily.

In the United States blood cholesterol level testing for all is routine and that nation is becoming a nation of 'cholesterophobics'.

More concerned with death than with life, many interviewed said that their lives were ruined as, if they had a treat, it was accompanied by feelings of guilt.

One of COMA's principles is that the measures should.

"Afford a reasonable prospect of improvement in life expectancy overall, and in the quality of life for the population as a whole."

Experience around the world, and particularly from the United States, makes it certain that neither of those principles will be met.

In Britain, general practitioners, practice nurses and health visitors are starting to use desk-top cholesterol testing machines, the majority of which have been loaned by drug companies.

A suggestion in the Lancet is that this is designed merely to enhance the drug companies' profits by increasing sales of cholesterol-lowering drugs, and questions their ethics.

There is also the question of the psychological harm that could be done to people in view of the experience of the inaccuracy of such machines.
